I haven’t fallen in love for awhile. Don’t have the time. Probably not the emotional energy either.
But here I’m crushed.
Love at first sight, when I didn’t believe in love at first sight.
It’s a still life, but I didn’t recognize that at first. The surging lines and the color. Still life’s are usually. . . so still and this one has all the right moves. Sexy even. Line meets color. Two distinct elements, separate then join together in overall composition. Line teases your eye out then the color pulls you back to center. Two to tango.
I may love it more than — my iphone.
Can’t speak for your iphone but we love the work and description.
Can you believe I had a micro panic attack when I left my iphone at the repair shop to fix a cracked screen. For one hour. And I’m not even an extrovert. I’m consistently amazed at the depth of emotion that paint and elegant technology incite in me.
you bring everything alive with your words! I saw the painting more as an object of affection after I read of your intense attraction. thank-you, as always for how you see art.
Maybe I like it so much because its a self portrait of me? lots of intense red and black centers and then these vast take offs of creative line and unexpected coloration. Both stillness and depth and wild in-approachability. And unfinished, finished-ness.
